List what you intend to take with you on a trip. Anywhere from a week to a few months before you go on your trip, make a list of the things you absolutely need to pack. This way, you can avoid clutter and panic, even if you have to throw things together on short notice.

The newsletters of major airlines are great sources for travel deals. These emails will give you special deals and information regarding the travel they offer. While you might think that these e-newsletters are just extra clutter filling up your inbox, it will be worth it if you save money.

Get a good workout in before leaving on a flight. A long flight can be extremely boring. Not to mention the effects sitting for long time can have on your body. Stretching or doing a quick workout prior to flying can eliminate or lower your risk of getting soreness or leg cramps.

When traveling by air, be sure to wear light shoes that are extremely comfortable and easy to kick off. Understand that your shoes must be removed during security checks. Shoes that you find comfortable are critical. You do not need particularly supportive shoes as you will be spending most of your time sitting. Flip-flops or slip-on shoes are recommended for air travel.

I will be studying on exchange in the UK from September to January, and want to fit some travel into my schedule while I’m there and meet friends in other European countries. I am always hearing about ridiculously cheap travel deals if you book at the right time, but can never figure out when/where these are.

What is the best way to procure very cheap flights and/or train tickets around Europe? Can you recommend me the best websites? (I’ve had a look at Easyjet).

    Thanks! 🙂

I want to take my boyfriend on a weekend getaway in mid November. I am open to where we go….
Is there a website that I can put in the dates of travel and it will give me options of trips/travel deals? All of the websites I have seen make you put where you want to go and then it gives you options.
We are in the bay area… if anyone has any ideas that would be great too.

I found one recently and now can’t remember the name. You choose where you want to go and it brings up deals from different tour companies or independent travel deals like airline/hotel packages.
