Always plan ahead when traveling by air. Many of the major airports are situated in and around big cities, so you need to plan ahead to avoid any delays, especially during heavily congested periods like rush hour. Always verify when your passport expires. Many countries have rules in place about passport expiration. If your passport expires soon, many countries will refuse you entrance into their country. These time frames can range anywhere from three months to a year.

If you want to adjust quickly to an unfamiliar time zone, don’t allow yourself to fall asleep until nighttime locally. Even if you are tired, going to bed too early can prolong jet lag by keeping your body in your home time zone. The sooner you can adjust to local time, the sooner your jet lag will disappear.

Hi there- I need some advice for a plane ride with my family. I have three children (girl age 9, boy age 5, and another girl age 1). In about week, we will be visiting some family in Maine. We are flying on Frontier Airlines in economy class. We will be taking off from Seattle at 6AM and taking a plane ride to Denver, which will be a three-hour flight. We will spend 3 hours in Denver before getting on another plane to Maine, which will last around 4 hours. I need some advice for this trip.

    1) Do you have any advice for taking young children through airport security so it’s quick and hassle-free?

    2) How can I keep my three children occupied on the two flights (please give me tips for each of my childrens ages)

    3) What can I do at the airport in Denver with them while we wait for a couple hours for our next flight?

    Thanks in advance!
