Guide Private Retain the services of Or Should You Reserve Airport Cabs

When visiting a new place it can be scary, but fun at the same time, no matter the level of experience you have in traveling. Before you get your flights booked and bags packed, take a minute to read through the following tips to help you minimize travel stress and maximize your vacation enjoyment.

Try to go to the gym prior to getting on a flight. This will help you avoid the tediousness of long flights. Sitting without being able to move can make both your back and your legs cramp up. Having a quick workout or, at the very least, stretching before a flight can reduce or eliminate leg cramps and soreness.

Stay aware of your belongings all the time while you are traveling. When carrying a purse, make sure you keep it tucked under your arm. Avoid bags with easy-access zippers that can be easily accessed by someone other than yourself. When buying a travel bag, keep this in mind.

Be aware of your passport’s expiration date. Many countries have rules concerning passports. Most countries will not permit you to enter with an expired passport if it is within a given time frame. The range is typically between three and six months, but sometimes can be up to a year.

Try to wear comfortable and light shoes when air traveling – shoes that you can slip out of easily. When you go through security checks, you will be required to take them off. Comfort over style is paramount when traveling. Traveling by plane results in a lot of sitting and very little walking, so heavy- duty footwear is not needed or recommended. Instead, wear something lighter, like sandals, for more comfort.

Be aware of any visa that you may need if you are flying through multiple countries. Remember that there are several types of visas; you must do your research to determine if you will be allowed into the country you want to visit. Make sure you consult your travel agent and research online for the rules and regulations.

Whenever possible, purchase tickets for admission to attractions online, then print them instantly or opt for will-call. This sometimes costs a small amount extra, but the time saved waiting in a line makes up for it. Not only that, you may be able to skip the lines for entry as well.

Make sure your passport isn’t expired. Most countries have explicit rules regarding your passport. If your passport expires within a specified time frame, you may not be able to enter the country. These periods usually range anywhere from a year to three months.

Do not trust emails advertising great travel deals. Unless you know you signed up to get travel related emails from a company you like, do not even open them.

Even when on long flights, never assume the airline will provide everything you need. A flight is often more comfortable when you bring along comfort items; such as a blanket, a pillow or your own set of headphones. You may also want to purchase a snack before boarding the plane.

As stated initially in this guide, travel is fun although planning for a trip may not be. Fortunately, planning a successful trip doesn’t have to be a headache. The information that has been provided in this article should help you maximize the amount of fun you will have during your trip.

He is very anxious & sensitive to stress. If I wrap him up & cover his head with “his” blanket, he is rather calm (doesn’t struggle/try to get away). He panics in a plastic carrier. I did this trip b4, he didn’t eat/drink, but peed in his blanket (towards the beginning of trip?) cuz the madhouse the movers created.(poor guy) If he doesn’t eat/drink will he still have to go potty? He’s an indoor cat, if I let him out at stops to go potty he’ll just stand there shaking & terrified. Do I need to worry about keeping him hydrated on a 15 hour car trip? It will most likely be at night, is daytime better? I don’t think a bag carrier will work, but maybe he’ll feel like I’m holding him? How bout a box with no lid & his blanket? Last time he ended up chillin on the backseat in his blanket. Is he better off in the front on the seat or floor with me or in the back? Do I need a med to knock him out or will “Rescue Remedy” be strong enough? How long do each last?

    Thanks All!
